Staying Safe During COVID - WeddingPro

Are you still doing weddings? How?

We hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and smiling! It is summer (..still) after all, so we should still have a little fun! There is nothing more fun than a wedding! You heard us right!

Domenica Beauty has still been glamming up brides, families, friends, and loved ones during these unprecedented times. Our couples have been planning their weddings for months and even sometimes years. They are not going to let anything stop them from celebrating their love.

The Domenica Beauty team is, of course, following all governmental guidelines and complying with all CDC rules, but our friends over at WeddingPro reached out to several wedding professionals, including us, to see what they are doing during these unprecedented times to stay safe.

Wedding Pro is the number one site for wedding professions. You may have also heard of their sister brands: The Knot and WeddingWire. They wrote a whole blog post, and created a cute video, to educate other wedding professionals on how to keep their teams and clients safe. We are so honored to have been able to share our Four Ss:

Surveying

Three weeks before the wedding, we send out an email survey to all of the bride’s guests who need hair and makeup services. We double check that they do not have any COVID-19 symptoms and have not been potentially exposed to it either. On the day of the wedding, we also take everyone’s temperature before any services have started.

Sanitizing

The hair and makeup industry already had this one down! It is our normal business practice to sanitize ALL of our hair and makeup products before and after each guest gets a service. It was not hard to incorporate this into our routine, since we already do this for all our clients!

Safety Mask-ing

This one is also easy as not only the DB Team, but everyone has had a ton of practice with wearing a mask! We require each of our artists to wear a mask or face shield during the entire time they are performing their services. Additionally, to ensure our team and all of our guests are safe, we do ask that all our guests who are around our team wear a face mask with the exception of when they are receiving their services. (Check out our blog post how to avoid mask breakouts!)

Social Distancing

On top of checking everyone’s temperatures, sanitizing, wearing a mask, we also set up 6 feet apart from other individuals. With the exception of when a guest is getting their services, our artists are staying 6 feet away from any other artist and guests.

We know the world is a little unbalanced right now, but are still here for all our beauties! We have a few more steps we are implementing for your safety as well as ours, and we look forward to safely celebrating with all our brides!

We also wanted to thank our friends over at WeddingPro to have included us in this project:

Until next time: XOXO
